DCC ‘Pairs’ - Rules

Check with the ice man before games commence. If he agrees then the undernoted is okay. If not consider making the games 4 ends but each player only playing 3 stones.

Round 1:

This must start promptly at the allocated time. Toss coins, shake hands and make sure you know what sheet you are on before the start time!

If time allows, a maximum of 4 ends will be played.

If the third end is finished with at least 15 minutes of the original 1 hr playing time remaining the 4th end will be played as a full end.

If the third end is finished with less than 15 minutes of the allocated 1 hr playing time remaining but at least 10 minutes remaining a half end is played for the 4th end (a half end is where each competitor has 2 stones instead of 4).

If the third end is not completed with at least 10 minutes remainingthen no 4th end.

A delay on any one sheet has repercussions for the whole of the second round .

Peels to be decided by a measured draw to the house. In a deciding draw to the house, a stone may be swept forward by a side but an opposing side is not allowed to sweep through.
