Border League success for Duns

posted 23 Mar 2011, 01:14 by Duns Curling Club
After a shaky start from both team with Duns losing a 5 and Yester a 4 in the second and third ends respectively there followed a close fought game from which Duns emerged victorious in an extra end.

This is only the second time that Duns have won the Border League which is the ice rinks main annual competition. The last win was back in 1966.

Well done to all of the club members who took part in the competition throughout the year and to those who came along to support for the final.

A match report from Colin Jeffries is available here.
